Case Study | Hillsborough Leisure Center

Hillsborough Leisure Centre, Commercial Boiler Replacement, Sheffield

The Project

This commercial boiler replacement project was to replace 2 of the 4 existing boilers at the Hillsbrough Leisure Centre.

Works involved the stripping out of 2 of the existing Hartley and Sugden boilers from the basement boiler house involving complex removal / lifting operations and replacing with 4 of the Vitocrossal 200w GC1B 311/285kw boilers.

The Solution

As appointed main contractor our responsibility was to ensure smooth transition and no disruption to the facilities for the client and end user. This was achieved by isolating two of the existing boilers, alterations to the main gas pipes and heating flow and return water connections.

The works involved major flue alterations which meant conversion from normal gas fired boilers to condensing boilers / flues along with new condensate drains.

Project completed on time and on budget.
