The Project
This project involved the building of a new art gallery within an existing traction shed. The scope of works involved new scene select dimmable lighting and control, general power, new distribution, modification to an existing addressable fire alarm system along with Mechanical control wiring.
The difficulty with this project was to achieve not only the correct temperature, but also the correct humidity within the gallery area.
The Solution
This was achieved through the use of chilled water and humidifier systems along with air handling units and steel ductwork above the new ceilings within the gallery.
The above air systems were designed and installed to a 5% tolerance due to the nature of the use of the gallery with ourselves carrying out air balancing and air leakage on the new systems to ensure we met this criteria along with the Building Management Systems (BMS) control wiring.
